Capt. Cartret is a United States Maritime Officer and Staff Officer, a Certified Vessel Examiner (VE), and serves on the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Rescue and Survival Team (R/S) while holding a Coast Guard Master credential. With a background in insurance, aviation and marine fields, he is a graduate of several institutions, including Sea School, Lloyd’s Maritime Institute, and the North American Institute of Aviation. Mark continually updates his skills through industry-related continuing education seminars and teaches the Boat America classes. He is a certified inspector/examiner for Coast Guard vessels.
